About this event

The conversation will be lead by Profs. Silvia Penati and Marika Taylor, and moderated by Dr. Meytal Eran Jona.

Silvia Penati is a founding member of the GenHET working group at CERN and is professor of theoretical physics at the University of Milan-Bicocca. She specialises in the AdS/CFT correspondence and various topics in supersymmetry. She is presently the Rector Delegate for gender issues.

Marika Taylor is also a founding member of the GenHET working group at CERN and is Head of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Southampton, with interests in holographic aspects of string theory and phenomenology.

Meytal Eran Jona is a sociologist and the Chair of GENERA Network (a Horizon 2020 project aiming to promote gender equality in physics in research institutions). She is the head of Diversity and Inclusion office at Weizmann Institute of Science. As a sociologist her research is focused on women in physics.
